Drag and Drop Strategy, a dynamic model of strategy, has finally arrived thanks to The Alpha Strategies.
The Alpha Strategies model is built on the well researched concept that there are 8 strategies and 3 types of strategy common to all organizations from for-profit to nonprofits.
These two concepts lend themselves to enabling a whole new level of understanding of strategy. Not only is it important to know each of the 8 fundamental strategies of your organization; it is also just as important to understand how those strategies are configured.
But enough of the words.
Go to the site. http://www.thealphastrategies.com/drag-n-drop-strategy/
Click on the mapping board, choose one of the four basic templates that best suits your company, and start dragging the 8 strategies into place with our interactive strategy model.
You'll find two for-profit templates. One is for firms with a manufacturing strategy. The other is for firms having a production or service delivery strategy.
There are two more templates for nonprofit or government companies.
These templates replace the Business Definition strategy with Mandate, a term more familiar in the government and a lot of the nonprofit world.
One template has a marketing/sales strategy because there are government companies and nonprofits who do marketing/sales.
The other template replaces "marketing/sales" with "communications" strategy because there are nonprofits and government companies that do not do marketing/sales.
So go ahead and build the strategy map that best reflects the way your company is today.
You can't go wrong and you will understand your company better!! Maybe you'll even see what needs to change!
Enjoy! http://www.thealphastrategies.com/drag-n-drop-strategy/
